The European Demand Response Center (EDRC) is a joint project launched by CyberGrid in cooperation with the largest Austrian TSO, Austrian Power Grid AG, the University of Graz and the high tech market research company Brimatech Services GmbH. After years of intensive research, this project focuses on economical and ecological aspects of automated demand response technology.

The EDRC analyses the integration of industrial and commercial consumers and renewable energy sources (RES) by intelligent networking and aggregation. The center is founded with resources from the Austrian Klima- and Energiefonds and carried out within the program 'NEUE ENERGIEN 2020'.
