Steam turbines

Steam turbines-based CHP systems can contribute to maintaining grid stability and increase its efficiency by adjusting their output to match fluctuations in electricity demand. With CyberNoc, we connect the assets to the energy market to generate additional profit by participating across multiple markets and providing ancillary services.

Testimonials

CyberGrid participated in a research to analyse the possibilities of a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit and a steam system to provide flexibility to the power system, with the aim to meet the requirements of balancing services markets for aFRR and mFRR in Austria. The steam system applied in the investigated paper mill can be considered as a typical industrial steam system with different primary fuels, back-pressure steam turbines, and heat steam demand on different pressure levels (high-, mid-m and low-pressure). In this paper, flexibility is considered as the ability to change the electricity output of the turbine generator.
